Doddering Within Predicative Bounds...

Earlier this evening, Claudia's pal Steffi took me to see Norman Klein's "Misremembering the Future" lecture at the Künstlerhaus... As overarching theses go, neither of us was terribly impressed. There were flaws galore in his analysis -- his absolutist's fixation on Western notions of "tomorrow" was especially embarrassing, a glaring oversight rendering the majority of his presentation inert, at least from our perspective. (And we of course recognized that the erratic nature of the lecture and the inherent inconsistencies of Klein's argument to an extent reinforced the notion of "misremembering.") Still, Klein displayed an impressive command of the voluminous materials he and his research team had assembled, and his peripatetic delivery (and frequent MacBook fumbling) engendered affectionate guffaws from the student audience, most of whom had materialized via chartered bus from the Kunsthochschule Kassel...
