CP and I arrived in Hannover late Monday afternoon -- we were exhausted from our convivial Berlin rigors, but elated nonetheless by the opportunity to carouse with fellow professional malcontents.
We bade Frank, our perfectly taciturn mitfahrgelegenheit contact, farewell (his Mercedes sedan shredded the kilometers along the A2), and were soon devouring both late dinner and the disquieting poetics of Ulrich Seidl's genuinely subversive (and, face it, well and truly fucked-up) Tierische Liebe. Always hard to drift off after one of his films, and the world is better (or worse, or both) for it... Oy.
