On the 19th and 20th...

We succumbed to Lisboa's inevitable narcoleptic influence, and vegetated. (The endless rain helped.) Dr. King's birthday was duly noted, and we stayed glued to President Obama's inauguration for hours via Internet (German and American live television feeds). Mainly, we're watching a lot of movies: Revolutionary Road late last night, Mala Noche on the 19th, Zhang Yimou's The Road Home, some popcorn kino we'd not yet bothered to see (Dark Knight, Quantum of Solace), basically an antithetical shift every evening. The week previous, Take Care of Your Scarf, Tatiana and Juha by Kaurismäki and a dozen others, all just as stellar. Claudia's good like that - sterling taste, no room for bullshit. Keeps me on my flippers.

Solo gig coming up here on the 24th, maybe one in Porto on the 25th. As for Ropecosm, the dates are slowly beginning to cohere. I loathe booking tours...

More pix tomorrow, scattered above and below.

Bom Noite,

Tom
