RIP Max Neuhaus...

The first paragraph of a January 9, 1968 New York Times article entitled "Electronic Music Hits Open Switch":

Something went wrong last night with Max Neuhaus's instrument, a Motorola MC-1120-T Dual Keyer Gate with Snub Inputs, so his recital at Carnegie Recital Hall never quite got on the track. The event was billed as "Three Hours of Sound Construction," and it gave every prospect of being a thriller...

Makes perfect sense to me.
