Shifting into overdrive...

Hi Again,

Received the masters for disc two of Kevin Drumm's forthcoming KSV debut. It's going to blow everyone's hosiery away, or, fuck it, just erase the idea of socks and thigh-highs from human consciousness...

Rope Cosmetology will tour Europe sometime between March-April 2011. Hoping we can do at least three weeks of performances. We'll keep you posted.

Kevin and I will embark on a ten-day duo tour of Europe in May 2011. Look the fuck out.

Off to bed. More Show Fruit when I feel like it!

Love,

TS

TLASILA: Show Fruit (Série B) 19...

Immense, dark and unbelievably submerged slab of an aptly titled distant marimba tinkle...

TLASILA - Show Fruit (Série B) 19: Midyim

Assembled from extracts of the following recordings from the official To Live and Shave in L.A. archive:

POI - Live, Churchill's, Miami (20 Sept 93) (the final performance under the placeholder moniker), and TLASILA - Live, Churchill's, Miami (1 Oct 93) (the first live performance under the To Live and Shave in L.A. name).

Setlist, 20 Sept 93:

01 Pictures at an Exhibition
02 Long Georgette Jacket
03 Piss, My Heart
04 Unobscured Miss
05 Foul Thérèse
06 Weakness Spits

Setlist, 1 Oct 93:

01 Throbbing Gristle at the Berlin Wall
02 LEF-Mux 'Theme' Plasti-Cast
03 Hackworth
04 Strength into My Blows
05 Elevated Host
06 The Worst of the Faecal Orders
07 Thirty-Six Fun
08 As One Would Possess a Potted Plant
09 Smoke My Habit
10 I Shall Eat Peyote
11 Christian Coalition

As was my want between 1992 and 1993 while recording 30-mm, I would write a new set every other week, and interlace promising compositions within the newer ones when the mood struck. All of the songs from the September 20th set made it onto männercreme, and the first four from the October 1st performance made the cut as well. "Elevated Host" almost did, but was dropped at the last minute. We assayed "Thirty-Six Fun," "Peyote," and "Christian Coalition" many times, but they never came together to my satisfaction. From the time of the first TLASILA demos in May 1990 to the moment I made the name change (from POI) permanent in October 1993 (not counting the demos, edit/performance templates and sample collections created using the TLASILA moniker during that time), my rasion d'etre was wholly absolute. 30-mm was the result of nearly three continuous years of research and development. Below, you are invited to trace the seams of the crux...
